Drawing on current research in artificial intelligence, cosmology and theoretical physics, the works take us on a beautiful and mind expanding journey through the possibilities of inter-dimensional time-travel, consciousness and the singularity.
Escapist BHST (Black Hole Spacetime) is a digital commission by Serpentine Galleries, London to be launched on 19 September 2019.
The Escapist BHST is a non specific interplanetary entity whose depicted experiences are a poetic imagining of spaces of understanding within and beyond those of contemporary science.
The project consists of drawings, a comic strip, watercolours, diagrams, oil paintings and includes a group of works which envision intelligent life forms on other planets, drawn and painted by scientists at CERN, Geneva.
From 19 September the project will be accessible here and also through a ring of sky based portals in AR (Augmented Reality).
Eight of the portals will be able to be downloaded and set as desktop images on computer screens, tablets and phones.
All works will be exhibited in the exhibition, From SURVIVOR (F) to The Escapist BHST (Black Hole Spacetime) at Annely Juda Fine Art, London from 19 September - 2 November 2019.
NB. SURVIVOR (F) and The Escapist BHST (Black Hole Spacetime) began as two independent projects until one day a portal opened between them, located somewhere inside a painting of an imaginary museum in outer space.
